Entry Requirements

To enrol in this course, you’ll need to meet one of the following academic requirements. If you’re unsure, a course advisor can help you assess your eligibility.

  • An applicant for admission to candidature must have completed a Bachelor of Social Science or equivalent program with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 5.0 (credit grade average).
  • Students seeking admission to the Bachelor of Social Science (Honours) in Psychology Studies must have completed the Psychology Studies Major in the Bachelor of Social Science at the University of Newcastle; plus STAT2000 and PSYC3000.
  • IELTS Overall 6, listening min. 6, Reading min. 6, Writing min. 6, Speaking min. 6
  • TOEFL IBT Overall 60, listening min. 12, Reading min. 13, Writing min. 21, Speaking min. 18
  • PTE 50
