Microbiology is the study of the very small organisms such as bacteria and viruses.

Admission to our undergraduate degree programs usually requires successful completion of a senior secondary school qualification similar to the Higher School Certificate (HSC), the highest educational award in New South Wales schools. You generally need to hold an Australian honours degree with Class 1 or Class 2 division 1, or similar from another country. Additional postgraduate research training such as a Masters degree with a significant research component may also be considered.
