Course Overview
The Graduate Certificate in International Development is an interdisciplinary course that introduces the theory and practice of development in a global context. Students can choose from a range of units structured around development practice and cross-cultural practices in dealing with issues of poverty, empowerment, agency, and other key issues in socio-economic and political development. The Graduate Certificate in International Development will provide an understanding of the principal ways in which theories of development critically engage with development politics and practices. International Development graduates are employable in the public development sector and also in non-governmental and multinational development organizations in Australia and abroad. The Graduate Certificate can be expanded into a Graduate Diploma in International Development or a Masters of International Development.
