Entry Requirements

  • The Graduate Certificate in Education (Leadership and Management) at Western Sydney University is an exit-only award, meaning it's designed for students already enrolled in the Master of Education (Leadership and Management) who wish to leave the program with a certificate after completing specific credit points. To qualify for this exit point, students must successfully complete 40 credit points from the Master's program, with 20 credit points from the Education core or specialist pool, and 20 credit points from the Management core or specialist pool.
  • In more detail: Exit Point Only: This certificate is not a standalone program you can directly apply for; it's an option for students already in the Master's program.
  • Credit Point Requirement: You need to complete 40 credit points within the Master's program.
  • Subject Selection: These 40 credit points must be chosen from the specific subject areas outlined for the Master's program: 20 credit points from the Education Core or Specialist Education Pool.
  • 20 credit points from the Specialist Management Core or Specialist Management Pool units.
