Entry Requirements

To enrol in this course, you’ll need to meet one of the following academic requirements. If you’re unsure, a course advisor can help you assess your eligibility.

  • International students applying to the Bachelor of Information Technology (Software Application Development) at Federation University Australia must have successfully completed a qualification equivalent to Australian Year 12, such as the GCE A-Levels, International Baccalaureate (IB), Indian Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC), or the Chinese Gao Kao. Applicants must also meet the university’s English language proficiency requirements. Accepted English tests include IELTS Academic with an overall score of 6.0, with no individual band score below 5.5. Equivalent scores from other tests are also accepted, including the TOEFL iBT with a minimum overall score of 60, and the Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic with an overall score of 50. Students who do not meet the direct academic or English requirements may be eligible to apply through bridging pathways such as the Federation Access Studies (FAST) program.
