Entry Requirements

To enrol in this course, you’ll need to meet one of the following academic requirements. If you’re unsure, a course advisor can help you assess your eligibility.

  • To be eligible for entry, you'll need: a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in architecture.
  • You must have a grade point average (GPA) of 4.5 on a 7-point scale in your previous qualification.OR a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in architecture, plus 6 months full-time post-graduate work experience in an architectural environment (see below).
  • You must have a grade point average (GPA) of 4.0 on a 7-point scale in your previous qualification. If you hold a qualification other than the Bachelor of Architectural Design from UQ, you must have a grade point average GPA of 5.0 in at least two design courses in architectural studies, at either bachelor or master level.
  • Relevant work experience Relevant work experience includes work in: architecture, construction, drawing and architectural design. Work experience might occur outside of standard architectural practice, for example working for a council or government body, or consulting company. This will need to be supported with evidence.
  • IELTS Overall 6.5, listening min. 6, Reading min. 6, Writing min. 6, Speaking min. 6
  • PTE 64
