To be eligible for admission to the Masters Qualifying Program, a student must:
hold a three year post-secondary (post-Year 12 equivalent) qualification OR
hold a Bachelor degree (or equivalent) from a recognised University (or another tertiary education institution of equivalent standing) with a minimum GPA of 3.5.
Academic qualifications, English proficiency levels and work experience will be assessed upon application to the Masters Qualifying Program. Applicants should note that a related Bachelor degree is required for admission to some Masters programs.
The Masters Qualifying Program may provide a pathway to Arts, Education and Law; Griffith Business School; Griffith Health and Griffith Sciences Masters programs. At the point of application, students will be assessed for their eligibility for admission to the Masters program*. Students will receive a packaged offer for the Masters Qualifying Program and the approved Masters program. The offer is conditional upon students achieving a program GPA of 4.0 in the Masters Qualifying Program.
English language requirements apply to International applicants and other applicants whose previous study was undertaken in a language other than English. The minimum English language requirements for such applicants for entry to this program are as follows:
A minimum overall band score of 6.0 on IELTS (Academic) with no sub-score less than 5.5
OR a minimum score of 550 on TOEFL
OR an internet-based (iBT) TOEFL score of 71 (no score less than 19 for Writing and 17 for Listening, Reading and Speaking)
OR no score less than 3 in each skill of the ISLPR (conducted by ISLPR Language Services only)
OR a minimum overall score of 169 (no score less than 162) on C1 Advanced (formerly Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English) or C2 Proficiency (formerly Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English)
OR an overall score of 50 in the Pearson Test of English (Academic) with no score less than 42.
English test results must be no more than two years old.
