The Bachelor of Sport Coaching and Development prepares students for employment in coaching, coach education, sport science and sport development.
Students will learn to apply a range of skills in the areas of athlete performance, sport management, fundamental sport science and advanced coaching sciences. The course places a focus on sport management subjects along with subjects addressing more advanced aspects of sport coaching and performance analysis.

To get into La Trobe University's Bachelor of Sport Coaching and Development, you'll need to meet specific academic and English language requirements. For the academic side, you'll need to have completed the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) or its equivalent. This includes a study score of at least 20 in one of Health and Human Development, Physical Education, any Mathematics, or Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Psychology, according to La Trobe University. You'll also need a study score of at least 20 in English (excluding EAL) or 25 in English (EAL) according to La Trobe University. You will also need to meet the minimum English language proficiency, which can be demonstrated through various English language tests, including IELTS (with an overall score of 6.0 and no band below 6.0)
