Entry Requirements

To enrol in this course, you’ll need to meet one of the following academic requirements. If you’re unsure, a course advisor can help you assess your eligibility.

  • To be eligible for the Bachelor of Social Sciences at Macquarie University, international applicants must have completed a recognised senior secondary qualification equivalent to the Australian Year 12, such as the GCE A-Levels, International Baccalaureate (IB), Gao Kao, Indian Higher Secondary Certificate (HSSC), or other comparable qualifications. Additionally, applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency appropriate for the course's linguistic demands. Macquarie University accepts various English proficiency tests, including IELTS, TOEFL iBT, and PTE Academic. If an applicant's academic qualifications or English proficiency do not meet the direct entry requirements, alternative pathways are available through Macquarie University College, which offers foundation and diploma programs designed to prepare students for undergraduate study.
