For the Master of Engineering (Professional) in Environmental Engineering at Macquarie University, international applicants must hold a recognised bachelor’s degree equivalent to an Australian Level 7 qualification in engineering, science, or a closely related discipline. Applicants are also required to demonstrate English language proficiency. This can be met with an IELTS Academic score of 6.5 overall, with no band less than 6.0 in Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. Alternatively, a TOEFL iBT score of 83 overall is accepted, with minimum component scores of 12 in Listening, 13 in Reading, 21 in Writing, and 18 in Speaking. The Pearson Test of English (PTE Academic) is also accepted with an overall score of 58, and no communicative skills score below 50. Applicants who do not meet direct academic or English entry requirements may be eligible for alternative pathways such as a relevant postgraduate qualifying program.
