Facilities

Graduates of this program are prepared for a range of planning and development roles in both government and private sectors. Your work may shape infrastructure, housing, transport, or environmental policies.

Airport Pickup

If you have requested an airport pickup you will need to follow the instructions that were provided to you by Alana Kaye College’s student support officer or the staff member that you organised your pickup with. If you have not requested an airport pickup you can either take a taxi or a shuttle bus to your pre-arranged accommodation. Taxi pricing is charged by the meter and is a very safe form of travel in Australia. Expect to pay about $25 to $30 for a trip between Darwin International Airport and the Darwin CBD. The Shuttle Bus will cost about $20 to $25 Australian dollars and can be organised at the airport.

Accommodation

Off-campus accommodation

Living in Darwin also offers excellent value for students. The cost of accommodation, public transport, and everyday living is generally lower than in major Australian cities such as Sydney or Melbourne—making it an affordable and attractive study destination without compromising on quality of life or experience.
Living on the Gold Coast is also more affordable than many of Australia’s larger cities such as Sydney or Melbourne. Students benefit from a lower cost of living without compromising on quality education, lifestyle, or amenities. Accommodation options are plentiful and range from student residences to shared apartments and homestays.
