Graduates of this program are prepared for a range of planning and development roles in both government and private sectors. Your work may shape infrastructure, housing, transport, or environmental policies.

Airport Pickup

We organise a free airport pickup from Darwin International Airport to your accommodation during peak arrival periods (February and July). If you wish to access this service, please complete the Arrival and Airport Pickup Form in the link below no later than 72 hours before you depart. You will receive a confirmation email when a booking has been organised for you. This service is not guaranteed for requests that are received less than 72 hours before your departure.

Scholarships

Charles Darwin University provides several scholarships to reward academic achievement and encourage global participation.

Internatioal Student

The Vice-Chancellor’s International High Achievers Scholarship offers 25–50% tuition reduction for top-performing international students. The Global Excellence Award provides up to 30% off tuition fees for eligible new students enrolling in undergraduate or postgraduate coursework.

Research Student

For research students, CDU offers Research Training Program (RTP) scholarships covering tuition, stipends, and health insurance for up to 3.5 years.

International/Domestic Student

In addition, the Destination Australia Scholarship supports international and domestic students studying at CDU’s regional campuses, with funding of around AUD 15,000 per year. Some scholarships are automatically assessed at admission, while others require a formal application.

Accommodation

On Campus Accommodation

CDU provides on-campus accommodation at its Casuarina and Alice Springs campuses. Students can choose from self-contained apartments, studio rooms, or shared units, all fully furnished and within walking distance of classes. Rent includes internet, utilities, and 24-hour security. CDU’s accommodation services also help students find external rentals.
