Entry Requirements

To enrol in this course, you’ll need to meet one of the following academic requirements. If you’re unsure, a course advisor can help you assess your eligibility.

  • To gain admission to the Master of Engineering (Professional) in Renewable Energy and Electrical Engineering, international applicants must hold a recognised bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in engineering or a related discipline. Applicants from countries such as India (HSSC), China (Gao Kao), Singapore (Polytechnic Diplomas), the UK (GCE A Levels), and those with International Baccalaureate (IB) qualifications are considered, provided they meet academic thresholds. English language proficiency must be demonstrated through an approved test. The minimum IELTS requirement is an overall score of 6.5, with no band less than 6.0 in Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking. Equivalent scores are accepted from TOEFL iBT (overall 83, with 21 in Writing), PTE Academic (score of 58 with no section less than 50), or Duolingo English Test (score of 115). Applicants not meeting direct entry requirements may be eligible for a pathway via Macquarie University International College.
